Pope Benedict XVI Resigns

Like everyone I was sad when I heard Pope Benedict XVI has decided to step down as the Vicar of Christ. I respect his decision which I know was made with a lot of reflection and prayers. My prayer now is that we will have a pope who will continue Pope Benedict XVI's firm leadership in guiding the Church back to orthodoxy. Whatever the world may tell us, we need a pope who is orthodox and conservative and nothing less.

Thank you Your Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI. We'll miss you!

Almighty and Everlasting God, have mercy on Your servant Pope Benedict XVI, our Supreme Pontiff, and direct him, according to Your loving kindness, in the way of eternal salvation, that with Your help he may ever desire that which is pleasing to You and accomplish it with all his strength. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord Jesus, shelter our Holy Father the Pope under the protection of Your Sacred Heart. Be his light, his strength and his consolation.
