Pope Benedict XVI

For now, let us pray together for our Almighty Father to bringHis will to the world through our new pope, and for his spiritualprotection during these exciting and precarious times, and doso in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the HolySpirit...

"Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdomcome; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day ourdaily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us fromevil, Amen."

"Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguardagainst the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, wehumbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power ofGod cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through theworld seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."

"Oh Saint Joseph, guide and govern Pope Benedict XVI!
Oh Saint Benedict, pray for us and our new Holy Father. Amen!"

Let's Pray

O God, from whom the just receive an unfailing reward, grant that your servant John Paul, our Pope, whom you made Vicar of Peter and shepherd of your Church, may rejoice forever in the vision of your glory, for he was a faithful steward here on earth of the mysteries of your forgiveness and grace. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. (http://www.westminstercathedral.org.uk/home.html)

Papa, Goodbye

Pope John Paul II (18 May 1920 ~ 2 April 2005)
[9:37 p.m. in Rome; 19:37 GMT, 2 April 2005]

Papa, Good bye,
I thank God
for the gift of you

You taught us
not only
how to live
but also
how to die
in serenity

Like Christ
you have
left us a tangible example
we can follow

For that
I praise God
for you, Papa

"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us"

(Romans 8:18 ~ April 1 - Through the Year with Pope John Paul II)

Christ never lets us down!

I will not be afraid. (Hebrews 13:6)

"Do not be afraid of Christ! Trust him completely! He alone 'has the words of eternal life.' Christ never lets us down!"

— Pope John Paul II, Poznan, Poland

Think About That The Holy Father reminds us, "Christ never lets us down!" Never! Sometimes it's hard to believe that because we have all had the experience of friends who have let us down. But Christ will not. How would our lives be different if we trusted Christ completely? How would we act if we never feared being let down by Him?

Our Holy Father is going back to eternal life, into the arms of Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

Pope John Paul's thank you

Vatican spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls said aides had told the pope that thousands of young people were in St. Peter's Square on Friday evening.

"In fact, he seemed to be referring to them when, in his words, and repeated several times, he seemed to have said the following sentence: "I have looked for you. Now you have come to me. And I thank you," the spokesman said. (Saturday, 2nd April 2005 Posted: 0957 GMT)

The Holy Father remembers of the young even in his final hours. He loves you.

Pope John Paul II's Wisdom

"The great school of living and dying, then, brings us to many an open grave; it makes us stand at many a deathbed before it will be us around whom other people will be standing in prayer - so may God grant it." ~ Address, Munich 1980 (Papal Wisdom, 1997)

Pope John Paul II's final hours

It's truly sad to hear about the Pope's condition. I can't bear this sadness that I started this blog as a way to express my deep sadness.

CNN reports that his end is near. Pope John Paul II has been the leader of the Church for more than 25 years. It will be so difficult to imagine the Church without him.

I heard some comments about him and one person aptly said that Pope John Paul II will certainly, in time to come, be referred to Pope John Paul II the Great along with Pope St. Gregory I the Great and Pope St. Leo I The Great. I can't agree more, Pope John Paul II has been a giant of the Church.

I like to quote the prayer I found for the Pope:
http://www.usccb.org/liturgy/holyfatherprayer.shtml

Lord Jesus, Good Shepherd,
look kindly on John Paul II,
your vicar on earth,
and grant him relief from his sufferings.
To this herald who has bravely proclaimed your Gospel,
give the consolation of your word.
To this faithful guardian of your Church,
send an angel to shield and protect him.
To this Priest who comforted and anointed the sick,
now bring peace in his own time of trial.
Hear the prayers of those who trust in you,
O Risen Lord and Savior,
who are seated at the right hand of the Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Christ is opening the door for Pope John Paul II. May he enter his eternal reward in peace of Christ and Mother Mary and angels by his side to lead him to the arms of the Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.

I love you dear Holy Father. I shall miss you tremedously.

John 11:25. ... "I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
